WORLD'S LARGEST STEPPE - MENEN STEPPE
We are a small company with just 2 people. We created this company because we love wildlife and outdoor. The organization named by Menen Steppe whose founder was born there!
The largest flat plains of Mongolia in the most eastern part of the country. The slope of the plateau is very gradual, only about 10m/km, making it the largest steppe in the world. The Menen Steppe is located west of Buir lake, sits at 600 meters above sea level, and is more than 90km long and 60km wide. Rich with pastoral grass, wolves, Mongolian gazelles, and other rare wildlife, it is the last untouched steppe in the world. We strive to make the best tour we can, and are happy to respond to your request!
MUNKHNAST DALANNAST - Founder & Managing Director
Munkhnast was born in the steppe, which locates in eastern Mongolia, and spent his childhood at Dornod province. Sheepherding, mountain biking, bird watching, and vole hunting was his perennial. He received his bachelor and master’s degrees from Mongolian State University of Education. He is an educator and biologist with broad natural history interests and commitment to the research and conservation of wildlife and ecotourism.
Munkhnast has worked on endangered species conservation projects at Hustai National Park, WWF and Altai Institute for 8 years. While working in the field his focus turned toward wildlife-oriented tour guiding the travel industry. After a number of years spent leading and guiding the tours, Munkhnast established his tour company and working as Managing Director, leading to ensure day-to-day operations.
NASTAA - Tours Organiser & English Speaking Guide
He currently works at the Non-Government Organization, Bat Research Center of Mongolia. He is wildlife biologist has studied Bat, Snow Leopard, Brown Bear, and Mongolian Gazelle. He mainly interested in bat biology, ecology, and conservation.
He has worked on endangered species conservation projects at Hustai National Park, WWF and Altai Institute for over 10 years. While working in the field his focus turned toward wildlife-oriented tour guiding the travel industry. He started his service sector career at the national renowned speciel iteresting tour agency. After a number of years spent leading and guiding the tours, Munkhnast established his tour company.
Out of office, he leads Birding, Mammal watching, & Snow leopard watching trips.
MUNKHBAYAR - Master Chef
Munkhbayar has been working for our company since it's established, she worked for the tourism sector for more than 10 years. She is the Master Cook of Menen Tour. She has associates degrees in Culinary Arts. Her remarkable experience and her ability to create a feast in the field will make you wonder. She is a hardworking, skillful chef, and cooking for 24 years.
TUNGALAG - Chef
Tungaa is a young but very experienced chef. Her experience in various types of cuisines made him very flexible and skillful chef.
